MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will bring overcast skies and rain to many parts of the country on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday.
(Tomorrow, the southwest monsoon will continue to affect most of the country, so expect cloudy skies with a chance of scattered rain in Bataan, Zambales, Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro and Palawan.)
(The rest of Luzon can expect partly cloudy skies with a chance of isolated rains due to thunderstorms.)
Meanwhile, cloudy skies and scattered rain will likewise prevail over Eastern and Central Visayas, as well as the entire Mindanao due to the effects of the southwest monsoon, while Western Visayas will experience generally fair weather with chances of thunderstorms.
No low pressure area or storms are currently being monitored within the country’s area of responsibility.
