MANILA, Philippines — Rain is expected in parts of the country due to two weather systems over Central Luzon and Southern Mindanao, state weather forecasters said Tuesday.

A tail end of a cold front is affecting Central Luzon, while an intertropical convergence zone hovers over Southern Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

The eastern section of Central Luzon, Palawan and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it said.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail Luzon and Visayas and coming from the east to northeast over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, it added.
