MANILA, Philippines — The cloud clusters brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat may bring rain over parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Wednesday, the state weather bureau said.
Satellite images of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) showed groups of clouds caused by the southwest monsoon in the southern parts of the country.
“Makikita niyo itong kaulapan na ito maaaring magdala ng maulap na kalangitan na mas malaking tsansa ng pag-ulan, kasama na ang pagkidlat at pagkulog, partikular na dito sa may bahagi ng southern Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao,” Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said.
(These clouds may bring cloudy weather, and can bring a larger chance of rain, with lightning and thunder, particularly in the parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.)
The greater part of Luzon, including Metro Manila, will experience a warm noon, with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms from afternoon to evening.
The Pagasa also added that there were no tropical cyclones detected inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility, and foresee that up until the end of the week, no tropical cyclones will form.
