MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather will prevail over most parts of Luzon while the southwest monsoon will continue to bring cloudy skies and rain showers in Visayas and Mindanao on Sunday, August 13.

This was the forecast issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), noting that the enhanced southwest monsoon, which is locally called habagat, would affect Southern Luzon, particularly the Bicol Region and northern portion of Palawan, as well as Visayas and Mindanao.

“Good news! Wala pa rin tayong binabantayan na low pressure area o sama ng panahon sa loob at labas ng ating Philippine area of responsibility na maaring maging bagyo sa mga susunod na araw,” Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said.

(Good news! We are still not monitoring any low pressure area or bad weather inside and outside our Philippine area of responsibility that could turn into a typhoon in the next few days.)

He also said that no gale warning has been raised in any of the country’s seaboards.

Pagasa likewise said Sunday’s temperatures in key regions or cities across the country would range from as low as 17 degrees Celsius to as high as 36 degrees Celsius.

Below is the list of temperature range per area as issued by the state weather bureau:
