MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Saturday said that different entities must come together in order to give the Filipino youth more and bigger roles in nation building.

In his message to mark the 28th founding anniversary of the National Youth Commission and the International Youth Day 2023, Marcos Jr, said that there must be a concerted effort to harness the Filipino youth.

“On the National Youth Commission celebration of the International Youth Day 2023, I commend you for your initiative to gather our SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) leaders; together with our ROTC corps commanders; our government cadets from the PMA, PNPA, PMMA, PPSA; and from the OCS of the Army, Air Force, Army, and Coast Guard.

“Mabuhay ang National Youth Commission, ang SK, at lahat ng kabataan — ang mga tunay na pag-asa ng ating bayan. Mga makabagong lider na kabataan para sa ating makabagong Pilipinas,” added Marcos.

(I commend the National Youth Commission and the SK and the youth sector, the true hope our nation. A new generation of young leaders for a new Philippines.)
