MANILA, Philippines–Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Caloocan City Hall – North on Friday.
The new city hall, which will be a complete replica of the South City Hall, will serve as an upgrade to the facilities of the current North City Hall and will be able to accommodate more residents.
Malapitan said that the construction of a bigger administrative building is a necessary step to provide better services to the growing number of residents in North Caloocan.
“We anticipate that we can serve more residents across different city departments because the new city hall in the North will offer larger and better facilities,” he said.
Malapitan also called on his constituents to help in taking care of the new city hall once it is built.
“We’ll strive to make the new North City Hall immediately beneficial to everyone, which is why I’m also calling on the young people of Caloocan to assist in taking care of this project,” he said.
“With the construction of the new city hall, expect that the city government’s action and care will be even closer to our fellow citizens,” Malapitan said.
