MANILA, Philippines—Starting Friday (April 27), operations of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay will be transferred temporarily to its satellite office at the Lung Center in Quezon City, where it will hold office until May 4.
The move is to give way to the high-level Asian Development Bank meeting from May 2 to 5, explained PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II.
“It was more of a security issue. A lot of people come in and out of here because of various transactions,” he told the Inquirer in an interview on Monday.
All transactions involving medical and financial assistance, prize claims and other related matters would be entertained at the PCSO satellite office at the Lung Center along Quezon Avenue, he said.
The floors being occupied by the charity office at the PICC would be off limits until the ADB meeting is finished. Only the daily lotto draw operations would remain at the PICC, Rojas said.
Normal operations of the PCSO at the PICC will resume on May 7, Monday, he said.
