‘Buhay Boksingero’ hits Argao town today

THE protagonists for the fourth edition of “Buhay Boksingero” made the required weight yesterday during official weigh-in held at the Games and Amusements Board office.

Boxing fans in the municipality of Argao, southern Cebu will be treated to a night of 10 bloody matchups in the semifinal phase of GMA TV’s boxing tournament and reality series.

Ready and raring to rumble are Gilbert Magos (106lb) of the RWS Gym vs. Delmar Cabatas (108 lb) of the Sta. Cruz Gym (4 rounds); Jobert Alvarez (108lb) of the Donaire Stable vs. Arjay ‘RJ’ Gonzales (108.25lb) of the T.I.Cebu Stable (4 rds); Rommel Banquerigo (113 lb) of the RWS Stable vs. Ardie “Boy Bawang” Boyose (112.5lb) of SGG Stable (4 rds).

Renoel Pael (111lb) of T.I. Cebu Stable vs. Junior Salvador (109lb) of the Phil-Aust Gym (4 rds); Jolito Catubay (115lb) of the RWS Gym vs. Bernard Salicinas (114lb) of Leyte (4 rds); Jherpaul Valero (115lb) of T.I. Cebu vs. Erwin Yamo (115 lb) of Phil-Aust Gym (4 rds).

GMA TV is expected to resume airing of the bouts this August. The first three episodes of “Buhay Boksingero” were held in Inayawan, Cebu City, Carcar and Bogo City, Cebu.
