Expect warm Monday in Metro Manila, most of PH — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Warm weather is expected in Metro Manila and most parts of the country on Monday, the state weather bureau said.
“Malaking bahagi ng ating bansa — sa Luzon, sa Visayas at Mindanao — ay makararanas po ng generally mainit na panahon,” said weather specialist Obet Badrina during the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (Pagasa) public weather forecast.
(Most parts of the country — in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao — are expecting generally warm weather.)
“Pero possible pa din yung isolated rain showers at thunderstorms sa hapon hanggang sa gabi,” Badrina added.
(But isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon or evening.)
Pagasa noted that the outcome was due to the weakening of the southwest monsoon or habagat, Pagasa previously said.

However, parts of northern Luzon, including Ilocos Region, Batanes and Babuyan Islands, are still expected to have overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to habagat, according to Badrina.
Also, the weather forecaster said Pagasa raised a gale warning in Batanes, the northern coast of Ilocos Norte and the north coast of Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands.
Badrina said these areas expect 2.8 to 4.5 meters of waves due to habagat.

Luzon
- Metro Manila: 27 to 32 degrees Celsius
- Tagaytay City: 22 to 31 degrees Celcius
- Baguio City: 17 to 21 degrees Celsius
- Laoag City: 26 to 31 degrees Celcius
- Legazpi City: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
- Tugegarao City: 26 to 34 degrees Celsius
- Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
- Kalayaan Islands: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
Visayas
- Cebu: 26 to 34 degrees Celsius
- Tacloban: 27 to 34 degrees Celsius
- Iloilo: 26 to 34 degrees Celsius
Mindanao
- Zamboanga City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
- Cagayan de Oro: 25 to 34 degrees Celsius
- Davao City: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
