P9.2 million worth of illegal drugs seized in Bacolod; 4 suspects nabbed

BACOLOD CITY — Policemen in this city seized P9.2 million in illegal drugs and arrested four persons, including three alleged members of the Caunda drug group, on Thursday, August 3.

The police said three high-value individuals and one other suspect were arrested and about 1.3 kilos of shabu estimated at P9.2 million and a .45 caliber pistol with ammunition were seized at Purok Kabulakan 1, Barangay Singcang Airport, Bacolod City at 10:05 p.m. on Thursday.

Arrested were Gycelle So Bonagua, 31, of Marisol, Angeles City, Pampanga; Michael Mape Ramos of Antipolo, Rizal; and Rizald Lozada Lapag, 33, and Dino Paolo Perez Chavez, 24, both from Bacolod City.

Col. Noel Aliño, Bacolod police director, said the three suspects, except Chavez, are part of the Cuanda drug group.

The Bacolod Police Office is offering a P100,000 reward for the arrest of the gang’s leader, Aliño said.
