COUNCILMAN’S HOUSE RANSACKED

TWO men were accused of burglarizing the house of a councilor in barangay Balungag, San Fernando town, southern Cebu.

Police said Roel Dayag and Richard Dano were identified by neighbors as the ones who broke into the house of Pedro Baringuian last Friday night.

An operation to locate Dayag and Dano is in progress, said SPO2 Victor Cuyno of the San Fernando police.

Taken from the house were chainsaw worth P45,000 and a licensed .9mm Ingram pistol

Police said the burglars entered the house by detaching jalousie blades of the window at the back of the house.

STUDENT FOUND HANGING DEAD

A SECOND year high school student was found hanging dead in his home in barangay 6, Tuburan town, northern Cebu.

Police said Elymar Aragon, 14, was found around 9 a.m. last Saturday suspended from a beam with a belt tied around his neck.

Police said the night before, Aragon and his mother argued after the teenager was not allowed to go out of the house.

Police said further investigation will be made to find out if there was foul play in the student’s death./UP INTERN CARYL BAYLON

WORKER STABBED DEAD

A CONSTRUCTION worker was stabbed and wounded by his co-worker in barangay Pit-os, Cebu City.

Ranito Manto, 29, was wounded in the chest and back.

The alleged assailant identified as a certain Ivan remains at large, said police.

Police said Manto bought a pack of noodles from a store in sitio Tapoko at 11:30 p.m. last Saturday.

Ivan was also in the store having a drinking session with friends.

Police said Manto heard Ivan telling him something offensive. This resulted an argument between the two men.

Manto decided to go home but Ivan followed him and stabbed him with an icepick.

Manto was able to run to the house of his employer, Nestor Pacquiao, who brought the victim to the Cebu City Medical Center.
