MANILA, Philippines — The missing Echo Air Cessna 152 was found in a town in Apayao province, the Cagayan provincial government announced Wednesday afternoon. Its two passengers are dead, authorities added.
Citing information from Apayao Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer Jeoffrey Borromeo, the Cagayan provincial government said the crash site was at the border of Barangays Salvacion in the Municipality of Luna and San Mariano in the Municipality of Pudtol.
“Natagpuan rin ang dalawang sakay nito ngunit kapwa wala nang buhay (The two passengers were also found but both were dead),” the provincial government said in a statement.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) has yet to release a statement regarding the discovery of the aircraft that was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon after departing from Laoag International Airport (LIA) at 12:16 p.m. It failed to arrive at its destination, which was supposed to be at Tuguegarao Airport at 3:16 p.m.

The Echo Air Cessna 152 was carrying Capt. Edzel John Lumbao Tabuzo, the pilot; and student pilot Anshum Rajkumar Konde, an Indian national.
