ZAMBOANGA CITY – A nursing student died when fire broke out in a house along E. Perez Drive in Barangay Guiwan here Monday morning.
Fire Superintendent Christopher Morales identified the fatality as Marc Nathaniel Nogas Aguinid, 20, a second year nursing student of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University and a native of Isabela City, Basilan.
Morales said the fire broke out in the house where Aguinid resides.
Morales added that the fire was reported to them at around 8:15 a.m. Responding firefighters extinguished the blaze by 9:20 a.m.
