POLICE arrested four men in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City, on Friday afternoon.
Arrested were Albino Rubio, 33; Rex Corlon, 23; Niño Ferrer, 24; and Welmer Ching, 37—all residents of the barangay.
Rubio had been under surveillance for several days after police received reports that he was involved in selling illegal drugs, said Senior Insp. Rogelio Pineda, chief of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group.
Police said Rubio sold five small packs of suspected shabu worth P1,400 to a poseur buyer.
Police arrested Rubio as the drugs and money changed hands.
Police said Corlon, Ferrer and Ching were acting suspiciously when they were spotted in the area.
When frisked, 10 small packs of suspected drugs were recovered from Corlon, Ferrer and Ching. /CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
