LUCENA CITY — Classes in public and private schools as well as work in government offices in Bacoor City, Cavite province on Monday, July 24, are suspended due to the scheduled transport strike and Tropical storm “Egay” (international name: Doksuri).

Mayor Strike Revilla in Memorandum Circular 002-2023 issued on Sunday said that “…in view of the forecasted inclement weather brought about by Tropical Storm “Egay” and the scheduled seventy- two (72) hour transport strike in Metro Manila, classes in all levels, in both public and private schools, as well as work in government offices in the City of Bacoor are hereby suspended on Monday.”

The mayor said the class suspension was upon the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC).
