MANILA, Philippines — The shooting incident involving a photojournalist is now deemed a “case solved,” Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Brigadier General Nicholas Torre III announced on Thursday.

To recall, Remate Online photojournalist Rene Joshua Abiad and six of his relatives were shot by gunmen onboard a vehicle last June 29.

However, Torres said police cannot yet consider it a “case closed” since the manhunt operation on the alleged mastermind and other suspects is still ongoing.
