CATARMAN, Northern Samar — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is set to visit Northern Samar on Friday, July 14, to attend the inauguration of the Samar Pacific Coastal Road (SPCR) project that was funded by the Korean government.
Marcos will be the keynote speaker in the event which marks the opening of the 11.607 kilometer road, including three bridges that connects the Pacific towns in Northern Samar (Laoang, Catubig and Palapag) and establishes the circumferential road loop of the Samar Island.
Based on the report of the Department of Public Works and Highways, the SPCR covers the construction of the 11.607 km two-lane concrete road, the 161-linear meter Simora (Laoang) Bridge, the 31-linear meter Jangtud 1, the and 69-linear meter Jangtud 2 Bridges in Palapag.
President Marcos will visit the Northern Samar provincial capitol in Catarman before proceeding to the inauguration in Palapag town.
