Pagasa: Fair, warm weekend weather with isolated rain showers

     

 

MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair and warm weekend weather is expected in most of the country despite an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) down south, the state weather bureau said on Friday afternoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), in its Friday afternoon bulletin, reported that the ITCZ will affect the southern tip of Mindanao.

Pagasa said isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are possible in different parts of the country.

On Saturday, most parts of Luzon would have warmer temperatures, ranging from 25 to 34 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila; 26 to 34 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao; 26 to 33 degrees Celsius in Legazpi; 25 to 33 degrees Celsius in Laoag; 24 to 32 degrees  Celsius in Tagaytay; 26 to 32 degrees Celsius in Puerto Princesa and 18 to 24 degrees Celsius in Baguio City.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, cities on the eastern side would have slightly lower temperatures due to possible rain showers.

Forecast temperature in Tacloban and Cebu is between 25 to 31 degrees Celsius, 24 to 31 degrees Celsius in Cagayan de Oro, 27 to 32 degrees Celsius in Iloilo, 25 to 33 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga and 26 to 32 degrees Celsius in Davao.

No gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboards
