MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) has dismissed two cadets who were allegedly found cheating during their examination.
The identities of the students were not revealed but the PNPA said its Honor Committee and the Cadet Disciplinary Board decided to expel the two second-class cadets following a thorough investigation.
The PNPA stressed that the dismissal of the cadets should serve as a reminder to other students that the institution will not tolerate any form of dishonesty.
It also emphasized the importance of academic integrity, asserting its goal “to create leaders who uphold the highest standards of excellence in service to the nation.”
“We stand firm on our commitment to maintaining an environment of academic excellence and integrity,” PNPA director Police Maj. Gen. Eric Noble said in a statement dated July 4, 2023. “As an organization, we strive to nurture a culture where honesty, accountability, and ethical values thrive, enabling our cadets to become future leaders of impeccable character.”
