Ledac meeting with President to push through on Wednesday — House SecGen
MANILA, Philippines — The Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council (Ledac) will convene on Wednesday, meeting President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to discuss past priority bills and new legislation for the second regular session of the 19th Congress.
House of Representatives Secretary General Reginald Velasco said this in an ambush interview on Tuesday after being asked about the earlier meeting between Senators and House members.
According to Velasco, the meeting earlier between Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, and other key lawmakers was to discuss the bills that they would present to the Ledac meeting.
“Well, actually it was just a coordination meeting like this one, coordination meeting between the Senate President and the Speaker para during the Ledac meron nang consensus,” Velasco said.
“Dalawa kasi yung pinag usapan e, yung priority measures na pinag agreehan ng both houses during the last Sona and ngayon,” he added.
