Generally fair weather across PH on Saturday — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Favorable weather conditions will prevail throughout the country on Saturday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In a public weather forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Daniel Villamil said the southwest monsoon or “habagat” is only affecting the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon. The state weather bureau earlier stated that the weather system has weakened.

“Dito sa ating satellite images ay makikita natin itong mga kaulapan sa kanlurang bahagi ng ating bansa. Ito ‘yung mga thunderstorm clouds na associated sa habagat [at] ito ay kasalukuyang nakakaapekto sa kanlurang bahagi ng Northern and Central Luzon,” said Villamil.

“Posibleng mabawasan [pa] ang mga kaulapan na ito kaya generally fair weather conditions ang ating asahan for the remainder of the day,” he furthered.

(These clouds will further decrease that’s why we may expect generally fair weather conditions for the remainder of the day.)

Although generally fair weather conditions are expected, Villamil stressed that Metro Manila and the rest of the country may still experience intermittent and isolated rain showers in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms.

Villamil added that no active weather disturbance is being monitored that may affect the Philippines in the next few days.

The forecast temperature range in the country’s key cities or areas on Saturday are as follows:

  • Metro Manila – 26°C to 33°C
  • Baguio – 18°C to 24°C
  • Laoag – 25°C to 32°C
  • Tagaytay – 22°C to 31°C
  • Tuguegarao – 25°C to 36°C
  • Legazpi – 25°C to 32°C
  • Puerto Princesa – 25°C to 32°C
  • Kalayaan Islands – 26°C to 32°C
  • Cebu – 26°C to 32°C
  • Tacloban – 24°C to 32°C
  • Iloilo – 26°C to 32°C
  • Cagayan de Oro – 25°C to 32°C
  • Zamboanga – 25°C to 34°C
  • Davao – 25°C to 33°C
