MANILA, Philippines — Lorenzo “Larry” Gadon remains the presidential adviser on poverty alleviation despite facing multiple cases in the Supreme Court, according to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin’s announcement on Wednesday.
“He will continue in his new role as Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation as there are urgent matters that need to be done in the President’s anti-poverty programs,” he said.
“The President believes he will do a good job,” the executive secretary emphasized.
Bersamin is a former chief justice of the High Court.
SC had disbarred Gadon following his verbal assault in a viral video against South China Morning Post correspondent Raissa Robles.
Robles had filed a cyber libel and a case on safe spaces against him.
