Dr. Miraflor T. Oca-Bunye passed away peacefully on June 24. She was 79.
She is survived by her husband Ignacio R. Bunye (former Muntinlupa mayor and congressman, former spokesperson and press secretary of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and member of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas monetary board), children Patricia (married to Joy Rojas), Dondi and Frannie, and siblings Charito, Girlie and Frankie Oca.
A graduate of UST Medicine (1967), Mira was a former pediatrician affiliated with Makati Medical Center, Asian Hospital, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Medical City, and Don Andres Soriano Memorial Clinic.
The wake will be held on June 26 to 28, from 1 to 8 p.m., at the Lorenzo Ruiz chapel, La Funeraria Paz Sucat (inside Manila Memorial Park). In lieu of flowers, family and friends may wish to donate to the Philippine Red Cross.
A private inurnment will be held with family members only.
