PDEA nabs 2 canteen owners, vendor for allegedly selling ‘shabu’

A vendor and two canteen owners were arrested for selling suspected crystal meth or shabu worth more than P1.3 million in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, the anti-narcotics agency said on Monday.

MANILA, Philippines — A vendor and two canteen owners were arrested for selling suspected crystal meth or shabu worth more than P1.3 million in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, the anti-narcotics agency said on Monday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency identified the three suspects as Lilibeth Pascual, 29, vendor; Charles Ian Cordero, 23, canteen owner; and Lady Patricia Sarmiento, 20, canteen owner.

The suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation at an open parking lot of a restaurant in Barangay Balibago on Saturday, June 24.

Seized from them are more or less 200 grams of suspected “shabu” with an estimated value worth  P1,360,000.00 as well as the buy-bust money.
