THE St. Theresa’s Alumnae Association has tapped the services of veteran race director Joel Baring to handle the third edition of the Move With AIR (Awareness, Involvement, Responsibility) running event on July 23.
“We decided to hire Baring because we heard that he is very good in organizing races,” Yvonne Gomoz, chairwoman of the STC Alumni Homecoming and the Move with AIR 3, said.
“We also believe in his capabilities in handling events like this,” she added during yesterday’s launching at St. Theresa’s College campus in General Maxilom Avenue.
Also present during the event’s official launching were STAA’s president Rose Borromeo, external vice president Cherry Marie Oporto and Baring.
The race, which features 5- and 10-kilometer categories, campaigns for sustainable environment and aims to help out their respective charity programs such as the community outreach program in Sentro sa Katilingban.
The event carries the theme “Theresians on the go for Sustainable environment.” It actually serves as the kick off activity of the Alumni Homecoming celebration of STAA from July to August. “We want to make this a memorable one for the alumni association,” said Borromeo.
Runners can register at the RUNNR Ayala Center Cebu, STAA Office at the STC campus, Dr. Peter Mancao’s office at the Cebu Doctors’ University campus, ROX in the Active Zone of Ayala Center Cebu and Columbia in SM City Cebu. CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
