Rainy Thursday in Palawan, parts of Mindanao as ITCZ continues to prevail
MANILA, Philippines — Rainy weather is expected in Palawan and parts of Mindanao due to the continuous effect of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau said on Wednesday.
“The effect of the Intertropical Convergence Zone is continuous in Palawan and Mindanao,” said Aldczar Aurelio, weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Aurelio said ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Soccsksargen and Palawan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expecting generally fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, according to him.
Meanwhile, Pagasa did not raise a gale warning in any seaboards nationwide.
