MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather, with chances of isolated rain showers, will prevail in most parts of Luzon and Visayas.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies and thunderstorms are expected in Mindanao due to an inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
These conditions are based on the report of Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Its afternoon forecast said ITCZ will affect areas in Palawan and some municipalities in the south.
“Asahan natin yung maulap na papawirin na may kalat kalat na pag-ulan, pagkidlat at pagkulog sa may Palawan, pati na rin sa may Basilan, Sulu at Tawi-Tawi,” weather specialist Veronica Torres reported.
(Let’s expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Palawan as well as in Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.)
“Dito sa Metro Manila at nalalabing bahagi ng bansa ay asahan natin yung bahagyang maulap hangang sa maulap na kalangitan na may mga isolated rain showers,” she added.

Torres also predicted generally fair weather in Metro Manila, with chances of localized thunderstorms from afternoon until evening.
The same is forecast in the rest of Luzon in the next three days.
Meanwhile, no gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboards.
