A 29-year-old man was shot dead in front of his house in barangay Guizo, Mandaue City Thursday night.
Police said revenge could be the motive in the killing of Dindo Dapanas, 29. He was about to close the gate of their house about 1 p.m. when an unidentified gunman with two male companions shot him several times.
Dapanas was declared dead when he was rushed to the Mandaue District Hospital.
Police said Dapanas’ 21-year-old brother Benito is being hunted by police after he was accused of shooting dead Marvin Soroño, 23, last Tuesday night.
Police said Benito and one Jonel Bacantos were having a drinking session when they spotted Soroño near the barangay hall of Guizo.
Benito confronted Soroño over personal grudges before shooting the victim with a .38 revolver, said police.
Benito and Bacantos fled after the incident, said police.
