THE Philippine Council for Industry and Emerging Technology Research and Development, in cooperation with the Global Methane Initiative, National Solid Waste Management Commission and the Department of Science and Technology in Central Visayas, will conduct a Philippine landfill gas forum in the Visayas cluster on April 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Parklane International Hotel on the corner of Archbishop Reyes Avenue and Escario Street in Cebu City.
The forum will present the basics of landfill methane energy project planning, design and financing as well as discuss opportunities for landfill gas (LFG) capture and use in the Philippines.
The forum will have an LFG estimation exercise that can help landfill operators assess the methane gas emission of the landfill.
The forum is free and meals will be provided.
