Argawanons host medical mission

The Cebu Queen City Lions Club conducted its second medical mission for 2012 on April 14 at the sports complex gymnasium in barangay Poblacion, Argao town in southern Cebu.

Nearly 1,000 Argao residents benefited from the services offered during the medical mission.

A total of 341 children and adults availed of free medical consultations with free medicines.

Another 300 patients received free reading eyeglasses, 150 got tooth extraction with free medicines, 98 benefited from free circumcision with free medicine and ice cream, 66 children and adults received free haircut and four were given legal consultations.

The activity was supported by the Cebu provincial government, Cebu Far Eastern Drug Inc., International Pharmaceuticals Inc., Cebu City Dental Team, Philippine Army 78th Infantry Battalion (Central Command), Southwestern University Medical Team, Argao Mayor Edsel Galeos and barangay officials and barangay health workers.
