CIT University holds seminar, induction

THE CIT University – Community Extension Services (CES) held a leadership seminar and induction of officers of sitios Bonbonan and Callejon of barangay Labangon at the university auditorium last June 11.

College of Arts and Sciences Dean Dr. Nona B. Suerte welcomed the participants.

Psychology instructors Dr. Felmar Cardaño and Ronald Yrog-irog spoke about self-awareness as well as the skills and styles of an effective leader.

They taught the participants how to equip themselves with leadership qualities to become effective in their roles.

Dr. Michelle A. Cellona, head of CIT University Community Extension Services, ended the seminar with positive stroking activity.

CES coordinators Manolo Villacorte Jr., Hazel Arches, Anna Marie Arnoco, Lotis Patunob, Jason Lim, Lalaine Narsico, Cheryl Pantaleon and Janet Entese were all present during the activity. They were assisted by selected Psychology students.

In the induction ceremony that followed, Labangon barangay captain Victor Buendia lighted the candle, installed the officers and sealed the covenant jar.

He was assisted by barangay councilor Zenaida Amores.

Buendia encouraged the 36 new officers to continue supporting the programs of CIT University for the development of barangay Labangon.

He also expressed his gratitude to the school for choosing barangay Labangon as the recipient of the their community extension program.
