MANILA, Philippines — State-run Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) on Wednesday named its vice president for finance, Nancy Paglinawan, as its new officer-in-charge.
According to CIAC, Paglinawan will act as the agency’s interim president and replace Joshua Bingcang following his appointment as president and chief executive officer of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) last June 8.
The aviation firm is a subsidiary of the BCDA, but the Department of Transportation handles its operational control and policy supervision.
“Paglinawan is a certified public accountant by profession who holds a Master’s degree in management from the University of the Philippines and served as state auditor in various government agencies before leading the CIAC’s financial team in 2012,” the CIAC said in a statement.
“She was appointed CIAC vice president of finance in 2020 and, in spite of the decline in the agency’s revenues because of the privatized airport operations, Paglinawan enabled the CIAC to pay all of its outstanding bank loans and remit a record number of dividends to the national treasury,” it added.
