Bus-truck collision in Quezon kills 2
MANILA, Philippines—Two people were killed, including a child, after a passenger bus collided into a truck before dawn in Quezon province, national police spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said Tuesday.
Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said a Lucena Lines Bus driven by Armando Escalanda was travelling along the Maharlika Hi-way in Barangay (village) Tumagay in Plaridel, Quezon around 1:20 a.m. when it hit a 10-wheeler Isuzu truck driven by Gerry Estauria along with his six passengers.
He said Estauria died on the spot while the other victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment. A female child, however, was declared dead on arrival.
