Rains loom in parts of PH
MANILA, Philippines – Rains are expected in some parts of the country due to an intertropical convergence zone, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa), said Tuesday.
Extreme northern Luzon, Palawan and Mindanao will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, Pagasa said.
Meanwhile, a ridge of a high pressure area or fewer skies, is seen extending across Luzon.
The temperature in Metro Manila could go between 24 and 35 degrees Celsius. Monday’s highest temperature in Metro Manila was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Eastern Luzon and coming from the east to northeast over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, Pagasa said.
