MANILA, Philippines — Fire broke out in a residential area in Quezon City early Thursday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council reported that its medics and Urban Search and Rescue personnel responded to the fire along K-J Street in Barangay East Kamias.
The BFP said the fire was raised to the first alarm at 2:02 a.m. and eventually reached the second alarm at 2:08 a.m.
Firemen put the blaze under control at 3:03 a.m. and extinguished at 3:32 a.m.
No fatalities have been reported, so far.
The BFP is still investigating the cause of the conflagration and determine the number of affected families or individuals as of posting time.
