The positivity rate fell from 17.2 percent on Tuesday – still on a downward pattern as it had been for the past few weeks, David said in a Twitter post.
Citing data from the Department of Health, David also said 898 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in the country, bringing the total cases to more than 4.1 million.
Of the total new infections, 180 are in Metro Manila.
David further noted that active COVID-19 cases nationwide now total 12,385.
“Projecting 900 to 1,000 new cases on June 8, 2023,” David added.
