Cops nab 2 men for selling P3-M worth of shabu in Cavite

Two men were arrested, and over P3 million of suspected crystal meth or “shabu” were seized by the authorities during a buy-bust operation in Cavite province, the police said on Wednesday. 

MANILA, Philippines — Two men were arrested, and over P3 million of suspected crystal meth or “shabu” were seized by the authorities during a buy-bust operation in Cavite province, the police said on Wednesday.

In a report, the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified suspects Basit Mamacol, 42, and Sandy Rabalon, 43 — both collared along New Market Road, Barangay Tejeros Convention, Rosario, on June 6.

The joint buy-bust operation by the Cavite PPO Intelligence Unit with Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEA) 4A also yielded more or less 500 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P3,400,000, a brown envelope with money and a cellular phone.

Police said Mamacol and Rabalon and the confiscated drug and non-drug evidence were brought to PDEA 41 for proper disposition.

Suspects will face complaints for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
