SI All Stars nip Bulacao in 2 OTs
THE San Isidro (SI) All Star nipped Bulacao Selection, 119-117, in double overtime last Sunday at the start of Talisay City-San Isidro Garces Cup-2012 summer open basketball tournament at the San Isidro open court in Talisay City.
The match was close from the opening tip-off until the close of regulation which ended in an 88-all deadlock.
In the first extension period, Bong Lapinid nailed a triple that again tied the score at 105-all sending the match into its second overtime where SI All Star outscored Bulacao Selection, 14-12 to bag the hard-earned win.
Buoyan Abellana and Ramil Aniñon powered SI All Star with 23 and 21 points, respectively while four other teammates also scored in double figures including Christian Ocañada (19), Kenneth Maningo (15), Dela Cerna (12) and Clint Gonzaga (10).
Jesril Meting fired a night-high 36 points for Bulacao Selection.
