MANILA, Philippines — A Taiwanese man wanted for fraud will be deported and blacklisted from the Philippines, the Bureau of Immigration said Friday.
Che Szu Han, 26, was arrested by authorities on Wednesday, May 31, at the Clark Freeport in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
“He will be deported after our Board of Commissioners issue the order for his summary deportation. He will be placed on our blacklist and banned from re-entering the Philippines,” BI said in a statement.
According to the bureau, Che is an alleged member of a criminal syndicate “that siphons money collected from fraud victims who are deposited in bogus bank accounts.”
BI said an arrest order against Che was issued by the Taipei District Prosecutor’s Office in July last year.
He was arrested upon the request of Taiwanese authorities, it added.
BI further noted that Che’s passport had already been revoked by the Taiwanese government, which makes him an undocumented foreigner in the Philippines.
He is currently detained at the BI Warden Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City pending his deportation.
