Miguela “Baby” Borromeo Ortega Javellana passed away peacefully on May 31 at her home in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental. She was 84.
She was the beloved mother-in-law of Philippine Daily Inquirer associate publisher Juliet Labog-Javellana and widow of the late Simeon Rendaje Javellana.
She is survived by her children Marlon and Juliet, and Menchu Javellana; grandchildren Tia, Julius Marlon and Julianna Marie Javellana; siblings Richard Borromeo Ortega and Aurora Ortega Duran; and nephews, nieces and relatives in the Philippines and the United States.
The wake is at the Javellana residence in Tanjay City. Cremation will follow a Mass at 8 a.m. on June 9 at St. James the Greater Parish Catholic Church in Tanjay.
The Javellana family requests readers to pray for the eternal repose of her soul.
