Malacañang bares new set of appointees

Palace names latest government appointees in various posts.

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Thursday bared the new appointees of the Marcos administration under the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Department of Trade and Industry, among others.

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said among the new appointees were former Customs Deputy Commissioner Agaton Teodoro Uvero, now an Assistant Secretary of the DTI.

Meanwhile, Jovy Bernabe was appointed the acting president and chief executive officer of the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) under the Department of Finance.

The PCO said Marlon Alagao and Glenda Relova were also appointed as Assistant Secretaries of the DSWD.

Retired Police Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo, who previously served as director of the Philippine National Police Region 7 has been designated Director II in the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
