PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — A fire razed a school building in Tigbao town in Zamboanga del Sur province just before midnight on Tuesday.
The fire broke out inside the Tigbao National High School compound in Barangay Tigbao.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Kumalarang Fire Station disclosed that the fire damaged five classrooms, one office, and a school clinic.
Residents in the area initially led the water brigade while waiting for responders, the BFP reported.
The BFP declared a fire out at 1:22 a.m. on Wednesday.
On Monday, flames that broke out at 9:58 p.m., also in Barangay Tigbao, ate four houses and two establishments.
The fire was put off by 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities reported no casualties from the two incidents.
BFP personnel are still investigating the cause of said fire incidents and coming up with estimates of the cost of damage.
