Exclusive Magallanes village to open gates to motorists to ease traffic flow—MMDA

MANILA, Philippines – Residents of exclusive Magallanes village in Makati City agreed on Friday to open their gates to public and private motorists starting tonight if the traffic along Edsa won’t ease up, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Francis Tolentino said.

In a press briefing, Tolentino said this offer by Magallanes residents was a first and encouraged other exclusive villages in the area to do the same to decongest traffic.

As of posting time, traffic along Edsa is heavy following two-day rains spawned by Tropical Storm “Falcon.”
