MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday invited the public, especially students, to visit the two new museums in Malacañang that feature the history and life of all the country’s presidents.

Malacañang formally opened the Bahay Ugnayan Museum and Teus Mansion on Tuesday, tours of which would be free of charge, the President said.

“I invite everyone to come, puntahan ninyo lalo na ‘yung ating mga estudyante na nais makita ang lahat ng mga Pangulo ng ating republika,” he said in his speech at the opening ceremony.

(I invite everyone to come, especially the students who wish to see all the Presidents of the country.)

“Nandyan lahat, ‘yung kaunting kwento ng kanilang buhay at ngayon ay officially open na and that is why I am inviting everyone to come, when you are in this part of this city, to come to visit it. I think it’s very educational, definitely. I think you will find it very very interesting,” Marcos added.

(Everything is there, the short description of their lives.)

Under the Malacañang Heritage Tours, Bahay Ugnayan Museum and Teus Mansion will be offering free guided tours to visitors to explore the lives and legacies of the country’s leaders.

Starting June 1, 2023, guided tours will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. but visitors need to first make a reservation.

The Bahay Ugnayan Museum features Marcos’ road to the presidency, showcasing the defining moments of his tenure and campaign materials that paved the path to his presidency.

The Teus Mansion, meanwhile, showcases the memorabilia of the country’s chief executives, including presidential attire, footwear, flags, and exquisitely sculpted busts.

It also dedicates a corner to the portraits of the First Ladies.

Marcos said the government is still in the process of bringing back the Goldenberg Mansion to its old glory, “but you can already see what a beautiful place it is.”

The Goldenberg Series will serve as a platform to raise awareness and celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of the Philippines through a variety of captivating events.

The President said both projects were spearheaded by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
