DAR resolves Hacienda Tinang case, distribution of 450 land titles in 2 weeks set

DAR to grant land titles to 18 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Cadiz City

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has finally resolved the case of land ownership in Hacienda Tinang in Concepcion, Tarlac, and will distribute 450 land titles in two weeks.

DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III on Tuesday said the agency was able to come up with a resolution to the case, which is already final and executory.

“We are happy to inform everybody that our formula of multiple shuttle diplomacy and constantly holding dialogues with the stakeholders ay finally we were able to resolve this case and mayroon tayong nailabas na desisyon na tungkol dito sa Hacienda Tinang,” he said in a Palace briefing.

(We already released a decision regarding the Hacienda Tinang case.)

“After we released the decision on this case, walang nag-file ng appeal, walang nag-protesta. Ito ay final na and executory itong kasong ito, dahil wala pong nag-file ng appeal,” Estrella added.

(No one filed an appeal nor protested. This is already final and executory because no one filed an appeal.)

Estrella said the DAR would distribute 450 land titles to 450 families, totaling to 200 hectares.

“We will be able to forge peace and prosperity for our farmers,” he said.
