Financial executives of Cebu conduct campus tour talks

TWELVE colleges and universities in Metro Cebu participated in the recently-concluded campus tour talks led by president Melita T. Ramos of Financial executives Institute of Cebu Inc. (Finex-Cebu), with the partnership of JP Morgan Chase and Company.

Held last March 9 at the University of the Visayas (morning session) and the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (afternoon session), the talks gave an update about the quality of finance and business education in the Philippines.

Topics discussed were small and medium enterprises (SME) and its impact to the economy, and entrepreneurship finance.

Finex-Cebu has been holding the inter-collegiate finance competition annually to drum up support to strengthen the Junior Finex organizations.

The Finex foundation’s business education committee provided the talk free of charge for finance and finance related students in Metro Cebu.

AIM professors from Finex-Manila served as speakers.
