CHR retains partnership with MSU to run human rights education hub

The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) renewed its partnership with Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) to maintain its human rights education center in Iligan City.

MANILA, Philippines— The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) has renewed its partnership with Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) to maintain its human rights education center in Iligan City during the Cagayan de Oro leg of its flagship human rights education caravan.

CHR Chairperson Richard Palpal-latoc signed the memorandum of agreement to maintain MSU-IIT’s Center for Human Rights Education on Wednesday as part of Lakbay Karapatan Tungo sa Kamalayan (LaKarAn) (Human Rights Journey towards Consciousness).

Palpal-latoc was received in Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro on Wednesday by Philippine National Police PRO 10 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Lawrence Coop and other police officials.

Accompanying Palpal-latoc were CHR Region X Director Atty. Jeanne Abrina, Atty. Gemma Parojinog of the CHR Human Rights Policy Advisory Office, and Atty. Francis Tom Temporosa of the CHR Human Rights Education and Promotion Office.
