Enrile daughter named Ceza head

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed businesswoman Katrina Gloria Ponce Enrile, daughter of Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile, as administrator and chief executive officer of the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (Ceza).

Before her appointment, Katrina ran or served in family-owned companies such as the Jaka Investment Corp., Delimondo Food Specialties Inc., Philcomsat Holdings Corp., and Montemar Resort & Development Corp.

Aside from Enrile, the Palace also announced the appointments of Diana Rose Cajipe as Department of Social Welfare and Development undersecretary; Mary Anne dela Vega as assistant secretary of the Department of Budget and Management; Reynaldo Cancio as assistant secretary of the National Economic Development Authority; Jefferson Ang as Presidential Communications Office assistant secretary; and Ronnie Ong, acting chair and member of the board of trustees of the Local Water Utilities Administration.

Also appointed were executive members of the National Innovation Council namely Ria Liza Canlas, Gisela Concepcion, Earl Martin Valencia, Monchito Ibrahim, Mark Gersava, and Tirso Ronquillo.
