REIGNING MVP Johnny Tabuco led FEP Blue to a 60-51 overtime win over an undermanned Cebu Daily News squad yesterday in the first playdate of the Printtown Pasiklaban Basketball Tournament at the Sacred Heart School basketball court along Mango Avenue.
Eleina Bikers, meanwhile, defeated the FEP Red team in the main game, 48-46.
CDN led by five points, 43-38, under two minutes left in regulation. But FEP Blue took advantage of the absence CDN’s Jonas Panerio, who suffered a knee injury in the fourth, to claw back and grab a 45-43 lead in the last 13 seconds.
Calvin Cordova forced overtime with a layup as time expired.
But CDN, whose players were hounded by foul trouble, were simply outmatched in the extra session.
