Pantino advances in Cagayan net

CEBUANO TENNIS player Arthur Craig “Igi” Diaz Pantino made Cebu proud after advancing to the next round in the ongoing Cagayan de Oro leg of the 14th Smart-HEAD Junior Satellite Circuit tennis tournament.

Pantino, the boys 12-under top seed, thrashed Mart Cabahug, 8-3, in the second round.

The University of San Carlos South Campus netter also continued his campaign in the boys 16-under, wherein he hurdled the first round with an impressive 8-1 demolition of Fernando Emata.

Other legs of this tournament will be held in Zamboanga City on April 18 to 20, Cebu on April 22 to 25, Dumaguete City on April 26 to 29, Bacolod City on May 1 to 4, Iloilo City on May 6 to 9, Baguio City on May 12 to 15, Olongapo City on May 17 to 20, Laguna on May 24 to 26 and Ortigas, Pasig on May 28 to June 3. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G.
